Actor Vin Diesel recently shared on social media that Portuguese football legend Cristiano Ronaldo is set to make a cameo appearance in Fast X: Part 2, the final installment of the Fast and Furious saga.
A specific role had actually been written for Ronaldo, ahead of production kicking off on the twelfth & last chapter of the Fast & Furious saga in April next year. Vin made the news public in a recent Instagram post.
'EVERYBODY was asking would he be joining the Fast crew...' Diesel wrote in the post & included a picture of himself with the Portuguese superstar. 'I can tell you - he is a TRUE one. We wrote a part for him...', Vin quipped.
What to Expect from Fast X: Part 2
Well, the film is gonna wrap up the franchise once & for all & will see plenty of familiar faces returning, including Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Charlize Theron, Jason Statham, Helen Mirren, Ludacris and loads more. After the disastrous filming shutdown in January due to the fires in LA, they'll finally be getting back to work in the city.
Fast X, the 10th chapter in the saga, dropped back in May 2023, & although it didn't do too well with the critics - those action scenes and Jason Momoa's turn as the bad guy were pretty good - it still clocked up over $714 million at the box office, making it the 5th highest grossing film of the year. The film ended on a bit of a cliffhanger, leaving the fate of a few characters hanging in the balance, which will no doubt be picked up in Fast X: Part 2, which is expected to land in theatres in April 2027.
