Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s upcoming comedy entertainer, directed by Anil Ravipudi and tentatively titled Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu (Mega157), has got a blockbuster OTT deal with Zee Studios and the film is gearing up for Sankranthi 2026 release. After Ravipudi’s recent success with Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, which collected 300 crores, this combo is going to deliver another family entertainer with Chiranjeevi’s mass heroism and Ravipudi’s humor.

Zee Studios, which already made good profits with Sankranthiki Vasthunnam’s theatrical rights, has now acquired the digital and satellite rights of Chiranjeevi’s film. Reports suggest the deal is worth up to ₹60 crores and this is before the teaser release. Amazon Prime Video offered ₹55 crores for the digital rights and there is huge competition among the platforms for the film’s digital rights. The big deal is a testament to Chiranjeevi’s star power and Ravipudi’s box office success.

Titled Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu, the film is a full on comedy ride with no romantic track, inspired by Gang Leader. Chiranjeevi is said to be playing a high energy drill master with a unique accent and body language, a new avatar for the megastar. The title teaser released on Chiranjeevi’s 70th birthday showed him swagging in a black suit with a remixed Rowdy Alludu background score and a horse in the foggy background

The film has Nayanthara as the leading lady, Victory Venkatesh in a key role and young actor Revanth Bhimal (Bulli Raju from Sankranthiki Vasthunnam) also joining the cast after his recent success. Produced by Sahu Garapati and Sushmita Konidela under Shine Screens and Gold Box Entertainments, the film is progressing fast. After wrapping up the wedding sequence in Kerala, the team is now shooting in Hyderabad and aiming to complete the film in 90 days for a January 10 or 12, 2026, release. Bheems Ceciroleo’s music is a big factor in Ravipudi’s films and is expected to add more energy to the film.

With Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara now postponed to August 22, 2025 to avoid a clash with Ram Charan’s Game Changer, Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu is looking like a big Sankranthi contender. Ravipudi’s track record of festive blockbusters and Chiranjeevi’s vintage charm is setting the stage for a big film. Fans are waiting for this comedy entertainer, which will be a non stop laugh riot and a grand theatrical experience before it hits Zee5 and Zee’s satellite platforms.
