George Clooney says goodbye to kissing scenes on set: "I talked to my wife"

There are moments when age forces us to acknowledge certain points of no return: for George Clooney, that moment has arrived, at least regarding the possibility of accepting romantic roles in the films he participates in.  The actor, during an interview, explained that he no longer intends to participate in certain scenes.

Clooney explained that he became aware of this during a conversation with his wife: a chat with Amal Clooney, in short, seems to have allowed good old George to realize that, at his age, he would no longer feel comfortable kissing a woman, perhaps much younger than him, on camera.

"I'm trying to follow Paul Newman's path. Okay, well, I won't be kissing girls anymore. When I turned 60, I had a chat with my wife. I said to her, 'Look, I can still play basketball with the guys. I play with 25-year-olds. I can still hold my own; I'm in shape. But in 25 years I'll be 85. It doesn't matter how many granola bars I eat, those are real numbers,'" were his words.

Goodbye to romantic roles, then, for one of the greatest exponents of the genre in the last 30 years of cinema: we will certainly miss him, but it's right that even someone like Clooney acknowledges the passage of time.
