The trailer of Kishkindapuri, the much awaited Telugu horror-thriller directed by Koushik Pegallapati, is out and it’s a scary invitation to a world of supernatural horror. Starring Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas and Anupama Parameswaran, the film is releasing on September 12, 2025 and it’s a spine chilling experience of eerie folklore and intense action. Produced by Sahu Garapati under Shine Screens, the trailer has already got the fans excited.
The trailer begins with an ominous description of Kishkindhapuri, a place cursed by powerful evil spirits. Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas and Anupama Parameswaran are the tour guides who are taking a group of thrill seekers on a ghost walking tour, expecting a normal adventure. But as the group unwittingly awakens a malevolent force, the atmosphere changes. The trailer builds up the tension with eerie whispers and flickering shadow,s hinting at the horror within a haunted mansion. A standout moment is when an old radio crackles to life and the sinister presence returns, setting the stage for chaos that spills out of the haunted house into the nearby village.
Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas is a fierce protector; his intense declaration “Aham Mrityu” (I am death), along with his pale eyes, gives a spine chilling moment. Anupama Parameswaran’s character starts off confident, but as the situation gets scarier, she starts to get fearful for the group’s safety; her performance adds emotional depth. The trailer hints at a twist where her character gets possessed and raises the stakes for an intense showdown. The ensemble cast, though not fully reveale,d gives us a glimpse of terrified tourists and ghostly foes, which adds to the horror.
Visually, Chunmay Salaskar’s cinematography is great, capturing the desolate mansions and ominous forests with a grey and shadowy tone. Chaitan Bharadwaj’s sound design is eerie and jarring and lingers even after the trailer ends. Manisha A. Dutt’s production design and D. Siva Kamesh’s art direction creates an otherworldly atmosphere and Niranjan Devaramane’s editing is sharp. Written by Pegallapati and co writer Darahas Palakollu and creative head G. Kanishka, the trailer promises a story rich with myth and madness.
Rated ‘A’ by the CBFC, Kishkindhapuri is not for kids and the faint hearted, it’s a bold new age horror film. As it is set to clash with Mirai at the box office, this trailer positions Kishkindhapuri as a must watch for horror thriller fans, it has the emotional core of Telugu cinema and spine chilling suspense.
