The wait is almost over for one of the most exciting releases of 2025: Jatadhara, a supernatural thriller starring Sudheer Babu and Sonakshi Sinha, releasing on November 7. Presented by Zee Studios and Prerna Arora, this bilingual film in Hindi and Telugu takes you into a world where mythology meets cinematic splendor.
At its heart, Jatadhara is a battle between good and evil, light and darkness, human and cosmic. Based on an ancient folk tale, the story is about the collision of dark shadows with divine power and how characters—and you—will have to face the divine in unexpected ways. Directors Abhishek Jaiswal and Venkat Kalyan have woven in themes of faith, fear and redemption and the film is rooted in India’s mythological heritage while being global in sensibilities.
Sudheer Babu plays the lead, a troubled hero caught in supernatural turmoil, his action hero physique adding to the high octane drama. Sonakshi Sinha, after her diverse performances, steps into a role that is both vulnerable and strong, her first Telugu film alongside her Hindi roots. Their on screen chemistry is going to sizzle, supported by a talented cast including Divya Khosla as a mysterious friend, Shilpa Shirodkar as a mysterious mother, and seasoned actors like Indira Krishna, Ravi Prakash, Naveen Neni, Rohit Pathak, Jhansi, Rajeev Kanakala and Subhalekha Sudhakar.
Made by a super team—Umesh Kumar Bansal, Shivin Narang, Aruna Agarwal, Prerna Arora, Shilpa Singhal, and Nikhil Nanda—the film is co-produced by Akshay Kejriwal and Kussum Arora and has creative supervision by Divya Vijay and Bhavini Goswami. The music is by Zee Music Company and the songs are so beautiful that they will make you want to go to the festival.
Prerna Arora says about the film, "This is not just cinema but an experience. We have mixed our culture with a global scale." Umesh Kumar Bansal of Zee Studios says, "We have made a story that bridges tradition and spectacle."
As November 7 approaches, Jatadhara is a must watch for all you experience lovers. With the teasers already out—full of mist, fire and chants—the film is going to blow your mind. Whether you are a fan of Sudheer Babu or Sonakshi Sinha, this film will take you on a spiritual journey. Mark your calendars; the divine battle is near.
