Filming for the Thunderbolts movie has already ended. Unlike another Marvel Studios production, Captain America: Brave New World, the film had few leaks and only now, in the week following its closure, actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who plays Val in the MCU, confirmed that principal photography has already been completed. he finished. The statement was made on Josh Horowitz's Happy Sad Confused podcast. Dreyfus also said that she knows why the film has an asterisk in the name, but, of course, couldn't reveal it.

In the comics, the Thunderbolts are a group that brings together villains or characters who have previously been antagonists in the universe. Thunderbolts will have Jake Schreier (Paper Towns, Frank and the Robot) as director and Lee Sung Jin (Treta) as screenwriter. Joanna Calo (The Bear) later revised the text. Thunderbolts features the return of Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier, as well as Wyatt Russell as American Agent, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, David Harbor as Red Guardian, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Countess Valentina Allegra di Fontaine. Florence Pugh will also return as Yelena Belova. After some delays, Thunderbolts opens in theaters on May 1, 2025. Ross was played for over a decade by William Hurt, who recently passed away. Now, Harrison Ford will play the role, starting in Captain America 4, which will see Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson as the successor to Chris Evans' Steve Rogers. Story details are still under wraps, but the Thunderbolts are expected to face the powerful character Sentinel. The person who would play the enemy would be Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead), but the actor left the project and was replaced by Lewis Pullman (Top Gun: Maverick). Another change came with the departure of Ayo Edebiri (The Bear). His character is now in the hands of Geraldine Viswanathan (Girls on the Run).
