In recent days, we have discussed the ending of Avatar: Fire and Ash in detail, but in this article, we will analyze the main deaths hidden within the film's plot that will have a significant impact on the future of the franchise.
Several very important characters, unfortunately, do not make it to the end of Avatar: Fire and Ash: after James Cameron shocked fans with the dramatic death of Neteyam, the eldest son of Jake Sully and Neytiri, during the events of Avatar: The Way of Water, the third chapter also delivers some serious emotional blows to the viewers.
The main death in Avatar: Fire and Ash is that of Ronal, the leader of the Metkayina, played by Kate Winslet: mirroring the killing of her Tulkun sister in the previous film, Ronal is mortally wounded during the final battle against Quaritch and the Mangkwan led by Varang. Her death is significant for two reasons: first, because it leaves a void in the Water Clan in view of the next episode, and above all because, at the climax of a dramatic scene, before dying, Ronal gives birth to the daughter she was pregnant with, entrusting her to the care of Neytiri... and who knows what role this new little Na'vi will have after the time jump in Avatar 4.
Other secondary characters who are killed in the conflict are Rotxo, the loyal friend of Tsireya and Lo'ak, but also the humans Scoresby and General Ardmore.
Finally, the story seems to also conclude the narrative arc of Quaritch, which would have a satisfying ending if the Avatar saga were to stop here. However, actor Stephen Lang has revealed that Quaritch is present in Avatar 4 and 5, so we know that the soldier turned Na'vi will somehow survive his leap into the void.
