The official trailer for the new Telugu comical romance "Premante" has just been released, giving the audience a sneak peek into the film's wild premise and the quirky characters that bring it to life. With Priyadarshi and Anandhi on board and the ever popular Suma Kanakala taking on a rather unique role, all eyes are on this movie set to hit theaters on the 21st of November.
Love in the Time of Bills
Written and directed by Navaneeth Sriram, Premante promises to be a real romp - a full-on laugh fest that manages to balance heartwarming romance with high energy comedy. And that's pretty much encapsulated in its catch tagline: 'Thrill-u Prapthirasthu'
The Couple & The Cops - A Recipe For Chaos
Priyadarshi, the talented chap known for his down to earth portrayals, takes on the role of Madhi - a regular middle class bloke battling the stresses of EMIs and his parents wanting him to get married already! After a few duds, Madhi finally finds Anandhi, who plays this beautiful, uplifting character who just clicks with him.
The trailer, however, shows that not all was as perfect as it seemed. The couple starts bickering over the smallest things and this is where the trouble starts. It's Anandhi who wants a bit more spice in her life, a thrill she can't quite get from Madhi's pretty normal routine.
And then this bright spark of a cop, played by the well known TV host Suma Kanakala, bursts onto the scene - it's one of her rare big film jobs and shes playing a tough, hardened cop who can't believe the couple are still arguing. Not only is she on the couple's case, but shes also dead set on getting them divorced, turning her into the films unlikely villain. Her character promises to bring some of the biggest laughs of the movie.
The Team Behind The Scenes
Premante is a production of Jhanvi Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao and has quite the talented team working on it - music by the talented Leon James, cinematography by Vishwanath Reddy, the guy who just won the Gaddar Award and editing by the very competent Raghavendra Thirun. Even the god of comedy Vennela Kishore has a role to show off in this one.
Premante will be up against a handful of other smaller films when it hits theaters on the 21st - "Raju Weds Rambai", "Paanch Minar" and "12A Railway Colony" to name a few. But judging by its unique mix of relationship comedy and a bit of high octane action, "Premante" is gonna give audiences a laugh out loud and engaging time this week.
