In the Telugu film industry where friendship comedies go all out with crazy action and emotional moments, Mithra Mandali movie trailer comes to the audience like a team of mismatched cricketers trying to impress with its plain silliness. Directed by debutant Vijayender S, this new comedy film is set to release on October 16, 2025. It’s an unbridled ride into the lives of a group of unconventional friends whose lives take a funny turn when one of them falls for the daughter of a politician. Produced by Bunny Vas under BV Works, in association with Sapta Aswa Media Works and Vyra Entertainments, the 2 minute trailer is full of meme material, funny one-liners and high energy scenes that capture the madness of being young. If the teaser was fun, this trailer is an all out excitement overload that makes you smile and gasp at the same time.

The film starts with the usual mess of the group: a bunch of directionless friends – led by the reliable Priyadarshi Pulikonda as the innocent average guy caught in the middle of the chaos – chilling at their “Mithra Mandali” (friends’ circle) meeting spot, exchanging playful jabs and planning big things in a cricket commentary style. When Priyadarshi’s character locks eyes with Niharika NM’s fiery and determined self (who happens to be the daughter of a politician), what starts as a romantic dream turns into a series of hilarious mistakes with warring families, failed plans and plenty of physical comedy that could be a Three Stooges short film. Quick cuts show the group descending into chaos: failed escape attempts, over the top showdowns and moments that are meant to go viral, humorously highlighting current memes and blunders on social media. A playful voiceover teases the “madness” to come and keeps the story a secret.

Priyadarshi, who recently impressed us in Jathi Ratnalu, is the hero of the trailer and he is the perfect combination of adorable awkwardness and stoic face – his reactions to the growing tension are top notch and he is the perfect foil to the fast paced movie. Niharika NM enters the scene with confidence and her chemistry with Priyadarshi is electric and vibrant and it looks like a romantic comedy with intense connection and playful arguments. The real show stealers are the comedy support cast: Vennela Kishore is hilarious in his part and he grabs attention; Satya and Jeevan Kumar are physical comedy masters and they are over the top. Vishnu Oi, Rag Mayur and Prasad Behara who are from Committee Kurralu are the rest of the cast and their characters make brief appearances, and it looks like they will have some fun together. Anudeep KV makes a surprise appearance and adds to the meta humor by referencing the self referential nature of the movie. Together they are the trailer in a nutshell – an ode to the foolishness of friendship.

Visually, the trailer is a treat thanks to Siddharth SJ’s energetic camera work, making the entire city of Hyderabad a chaotic and vibrant playground—imagine neon nights colliding with sunlit street chases, all cut together so well by Peekay to keep it exciting. RR Dhruvan’s music is a winner; the rhythms and melodies are lively and playful and let the conversations breathe. The production values are mid-range and polished, with big names like Bunny Vas making sure the craziness of the film translates to the big screen without looking cheap. It’s like Jathi Ratnalu or Brochevarevarura but with an extra layer of meme culture fun that’s specifically for the younger audience.

The trailer has been exciting so far, with social media going crazy about the “funny moments” and “full” comedy. Industry leaders like Allu Aravind have already called it a hit and praised the chemistry between the actors and the music. Media has described it as “funny, relatable and sincere” – a rare combination in a genre that’s often criticized for being clichéd. Yes, it has the risk of chaotic storytelling where the comedy might overshadow the sense, but in a trailer that’s this good, that’s an advantage not a problem. It’s under 2 minutes and it hooks you in and makes you want the full wild ride.

Mithra Mandali is not changing the way comedy works – it’s just taking it off track. If you like light hearted comedies where friendships go haywire, this trailer gives you a green signal to save the date. Get ready for a movie that’s more about the journey than the destination; October 16th is coming soon.
